Internal Audit Intern

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern to join our team and provide valuable support to our Operational Audit function. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain practical experience in internal controls, risk management, and operational efficiency within a dynamic corporate environment.

In this role, you'll work closely with experienced auditors, learning the methodologies and processes involved in assessing business operations, identifying potential risks, and recommending improvements. You'll gain hands-on experience in various stages of the audit lifecycle, from planning and fieldwork to reporting. What you'll do:

  • Assist the operational audit team in planning and executing audit engagements, including developing audit programs and gathering relevant documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis of company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Document and assess internal controls over operational processes.
  • Perform testing of controls and substantive procedures under the guidance of senior auditors.
  • Identify and document control deficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit workpapers and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Contribute to the drafting of audit reports by summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings and interviews to gather information and discuss findings.
  • Support follow-up activities on previously identified audit findings.
  • Learn and utilize various audit software and data analysis tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A strong desire to learn about internal audit, risk management, and business operations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Prior coursework in auditing, internal controls, or risk management.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics concepts.
