What you will be doing:

  • Conduct Research and Qualify Leads:
    • Use tools such as OneView, Mergent, D&B, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and company websites to gather information.
    • Verify revenue, business status, industry, and recent Relationship Manager engagements.
    • Record findings in the CRM and Account Overview tab.
  • Maintain Data Accuracy:
    • Ensure data accuracy in CRM and the ARM Tracker.
    • Sync changes between CRM and the Tracker.
  • Identify Disqualifiers and Escalate Qualified Leads:
    • Disqualify leads if they are active financial customers, out of business, in restricted industries, or have revenue outside the specified range.
    • Add a CRM Activity with the disqualification reason.
  • Support ARMs in Preparing Leads for Engagement:
    • Use the Quick Research Guide tab to prioritize leads.
    • Keep lead statuses updated
  • Contact Research:
    • Identify Canadian decision-makers
    • Validate emails using Hunter.io and ensure CASL compliance.

Position Description

At RSM, interns work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and a keen interest in corporate finance and operational decision-making who's looking to also get exposure to finance in a fast growing startup. As a Finance Intern, you will work directly with the Controller and CFO/Co-founder on real-time projects that influence strategy and execution across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Build and maintain complex Excel models (3-statement models, scenario analysis, dashboards, etc.)
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports and board materials
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making
  • Help maintain internal controls and process documentation
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving Sales, Operations, and Product teams
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned by senior leadership

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

  • Great proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:

    • PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
    • Scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, dynamic dashboards
    • Comfortable building models from scratch
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus

Compensation Details**:**

  • Student, New Grad & Master’s salaries range from $42,900 to $56,550 annually, based on year of study. Please see the salary breakdown by year of study below:

    • 1st Year: $42,900 ($22.00/hour)

    • 3rd Year: $46,800 ($24.00/hour)

The Mid-Market Business Strategy & Execution Team is responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies that align strategic goals with day-to-day activities. Reporting to the National Manager Strategy and Planning, your primary responsibility will be researching Mid-Market segment companies across multiple sectors. Team Overview:

As a Junior Associate, you will play a crucial role in conducting research and qualifying leads to support our business development efforts. You will maintain data accuracy, identify disqualifiers, and support Account Relationship Managers (ARMs) in preparing leads for engagement. This position also plays a critical role in creating, implementing, and reinforcing best practices and offers an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented and customer-focused team player to contribute to our mission.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct Research and Qualify Leads:
    • Use tools such as OneView, Mergent, D&B, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and company websites to gather information.
    • Verify revenue, business status, industry, and recent Relationship Manager engagements.
    • Record findings in the CRM and Account Overview tab.
  • Maintain Data Accuracy:
    • Ensure data accuracy in CRM and the ARM Tracker.
    • Sync changes between CRM and the Tracker.
  • Identify Disqualifiers and Escalate Qualified Leads:
    • Disqualify leads if they are active financial customers, out of business, in restricted industries, or have revenue outside the specified range.
    • Add a CRM Activity with the disqualification reason.
  • Support ARMs in Preparing Leads for Engagement:
    • Use the Quick Research Guide tab to prioritize leads.
    • Keep lead statuses updated
  • Contact Research:
    • Identify Canadian decision-makers
    • Validate emails using Hunter.io and ensure CASL compliance.
